FREE Careers Workshop for Students (KS4 and above)Animal Health Trust –Veterinary Medicine, Scientific ResearchSubject Areas – Science, Technology, Biology, Chemistry and PhysicsAnimal Health Trust, Lanwades Park, Kentford, Newmarket, Suffolk, CB8 7UU 10.00am to 1.00pm, Wednesday 10 February 2010 This is a rare opportunity for students to learn about careers involving science, veterinary medicine and animal care. The Animal Health Trust is an independent charity employing over 200 scientists, vets and support workers. Many of the Trust’s scientists are world leaders in their field and some of the clinical specialists are among the most highly qualified vets in Europe. Work at the Trust benefits individual referral cases and the veterinary profession generally, notably through major breakthroughs in anaesthesia, surgical techniques, vaccine development and genetics research. There will be brief careers presentations and Q&A sessions involving AHT scientists and clinicians, followed by a round robin of small group face-to-face sessions self-selected by students. PLEASE NOTE: There is a maximum capacity of 60 places (12 per school). Demand for this visit is expected to be high so please book early to avoid disappointment. |
